Portrait Please feel free to email me for commissions and inquiries (write “Commission” or “Inquiry” in the subject line) at elizabethyooart@gmail.com

You may also reach out to me for questions about collaborations, live events, prints, and original art. Much of the art on my site is available for purchase.

I am a freelance illustrator, fine artist and writer living in New York. I create art that appears on DVDs/Blu-Rays, movie posters, book covers, and much more. I’ve had five cinema-influenced solo exhibits in NY.

The poster I illustrated for Ryūsuke Hamaguchi’s WHEEL OF FORTUNE AND FANTASY, was named one of the best movie posters of 2021 by Posteritati, one of the 20 best film posters of 2021 by Little White Lies, and one of the best movie posters of 2021 by Letterboxd. The film is The New York Times’ Critic’s Pick, winner of the 2021 Berlin International Film Festival’s Silver Bear Jury Prize, winner of Chicago International Film Festival’s Silver Q-Hugo, and Certified 98% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Hamaguchi was voted Best Director by the National Society of Film Critics in 2022.

I also work with Academy Award-nominated director Immy Humes on the first documentary about Shirley Clarke in Brooklyn.

My new shop, where you can purchase my prints and other items, is still in the works – I will make an announcement once it’s up! My Society6 shop sells tote bags featuring my art.

Feel free to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Tumblr. I’m excited to hear from you all :).

I have a passion for the Great American Songbook, French New Wave, jazz, pulp paperbacks, hard-boiled detective novels, film noir, gangster films, Beat poetry, and Greek/Roman mythology. My heroes are Raymond Chandler, Frank Sinatra, Jean-Pierre Melville, Weegee, Baudelaire, Yukio Mishima, Kenneth Anger, and Patricia Highsmith.
